Job summary

KYOCERA AVX Greenville LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer to support design and manufacturing teams in improving quality and reliability of antenna products. The role involves interaction with customers, suppliers, and KYOCERA AVX design centers and factories to ensure products meet specifications and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities include process understanding, manufacturability assessments, new product qualification, change control, and problem-solving using data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• Strong customer support with clear written and verbal communication.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Manufacturing quality experience with SPC/MSA/PPAP and 8D preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO-9001, IATF-16949, IPC/MIL-STD standards preferred.
• Experience with Smartsheet and Minitab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand manufacturing processes for antenna-related products (stamped metal, PCB, FPC, etc.).
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and spec compliance.
• Qualification of new antenna products and adherence to change control.
• Improve quality through process controls, inspection, and data analysis.
• Perform failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Utilize 8D reports to close issues with customers and suppliers.
• Support QMS compliance to ISO/IATF and industry standards; travel as needed.
