Testing and quality
- Write test plans and test cases for every new feature before it is released.
- Run manual and automated tests across web, iOS and Android, and log clear, reproducible bug reports.
- Run regression testing before every release, plus performance and basic security testing (OWASP) for major releases.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes and improve quality early in the cycle.
- Take part in code reviews from a testing point of view.
- Share test results and release readiness with the team in short, clear written reports.
Automation and CI/CD
- Build, maintain and grow our automated test suites for core user flows.
- Monitor our CI/CD pipelines (Bitrise and AWS) and flag failing builds quickly.
- Use GitHub for version control, pull requests and collaboration.
Internal tech support (L1/L2)
- Investigate internal tech issues and answer troubleshooting questions from our customer support team.
- Triage support tickets, reproduce reported problems, and elevate real bugs to engineering with the evidence attached.
Data privacy
- Test only with synthetic or sample data. You will never need access to real nurse or patient records.
- Keep every test environment, tool and dataset within our zero-PII/PHI standard (no personal or health information in testing, in line with US HIPAA expectations).
What you’ll bring
Must have
- 3+ years in software QA or test engineering, including both manual and automated testing.
- B.E. / B.Tech, MCA, B.Sc or M.Sc in Computer Science, IT or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, and experience testing React web apps and React Native mobile apps.
- Hands‑on experience with at least one automation framework, such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium or Detox.
- Comfort with PostgreSQL and writing SQL queries to check and set up test data.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Bitrise preferred) and GitHub.
- Familiarity with AWS and cloud‑based test environments.
- Solid grasp of the SDLC, Agile ways of working and QA methods (test design, regression, bug life cycle).
- Clear written and spoken English. Most of your work with our US team will be in writing, so your bug reports and updates need to stand on their own.
- Understanding of data privacy (PII/PHI) and willingness to work strictly within a zero‑PII testing standard.
Nice to have
- Experience using AI tools in your QA work, such as generating test cases, writing automation with AI assistance or testing AI‑driven features.
- Experience with US clients or distributed teams across time zones.
- Experience with healthcare or HIPAA‑regulated products.
- API testing experience (Postman or similar).
- Experience with performance testing (JMeter, k6) or security testing tools.
- Experience supporting or building an internal help desk, or handling L1/L2 triage tickets.
- ISTQB or a similar testing certification.
Working with us from India
You will work fully remotely, with a schedule that gives you focused testing time in your afternoon and live overlap with our US team in your evening.
- Hours: about 2:30 PM10:30 PM IST, Monday to Friday. The first 4 hours overlap with our India team and the last 4 with our team's mornings in US Central Time. From November to March, when US clocks change, the schedule moves one hour later.
- Contract: this is an independent contractor role. You handle your own Indian income tax filings.
- Pay: your hourly rate is set in US dollars. At 40 hours per week, each bi‑weekly payment is about US$8001,040.
- Payment platform: Remote handles contracts and payments for our team outside the US, including payouts to your Indian bank account.
- Communication: we work in Slack, video calls and written tickets. Your updates should let someone in Texas pick up your work at the start of their day without a follow‑up question.
- Your setup: a reliable laptop (a Mac is a plus for iOS testing), stable broadband with a backup connection, power backup (UPS or inverter), and a quiet space for video calls.
What success looks like
Within a year, every release ships with a documented test plan and a passing regression suite, and fewer bugs reach our users.
- First 30 days: you know our apps, release process and CI/CD pipeline, and you are testing releases alongside the developers.
- First 90 days: every new feature has a test plan before release, the regression suite runs on every release, and support questions get a reply from you within 4 working hours.
- First 12 months: automated tests cover our core user flows, production bugs are measurably down, the internal help‑desk triage process is faster, and zero personal or health data has appeared in any test environment.
What we offer
- Pay set in US dollars, US $1013 per hour, paid every two weeks.
- A fully remote, long‑term role. No commute, no relocation.
- Real ownership: you are the person who decides whether a release is ready.
- Direct work with our Chief Product Officer and US engineering team, not through layers of managers.
- Hands‑on experience with React Native, AWS and US healthcare technology.
- Work that matters: every bug you catch helps a nurse get to a shift and a patient get care.
