Job summary

infini-tek is seeking a QA Engineer to lead manual testing efforts at a module level, designing and executing complex test cases and reporting defects to ensure client-site implementation quality.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and coverage at story, feature or End to end level.
• Design and write complex test scenarios and artifacts (Test Plans, Test Specifications, Test Reports).
• Peer review test cases written by other team members.
• Create and validate test data.
• Test and execute complex test cases/end-to-end testing.
• Interact with business and, at times, customers to understand domain.
• Manage defects by logging, updating status, following up and ensuring closure.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Complete testing within agreed timelines using appropriate test management and automation tools.

Job description

QA Engineer will be responsible to lead manual testing efforts at a module level. He would be an independent contributor who will design/write complex test cases and execute them. He/She will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. Ultimately, he/she will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly when implemented at client site. He will be proficient in at least 2 of our base products and will be able to understand impact of changes to the base from a testing perspective.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand/ Analyze Requirements/ coverage at story, feature or End to end level
• Design / Write complex Test scenarios. Prepare Test artifacts like Test Plans, Test Specifications, Test Reports and provide inputs for Test Strategy
• Conduct Peer Review / Review of Test Cases written by other team member/s
• Create and validate Test Data
• Test / Execute Complex Test Cases / Scenarios / End to End Testing
• Demonstrate domain Knowledge and need to interact with Business and sometimes with customers
• Manage defects by logging, updating status of defect, follow up on defects (getting fixes and re-test) and ensure successful closure of defect
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• To complete testing in line with agreed timeframes and by following the documented business processes using the appropriate test management and automation tools.

Skills / Attributes Required

• Strong experience in Insurance L&A domain (at least 3 years).
• Proven experience as a QA tester
• Experience in QA methodology
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Working knowledge of test management software
• Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills
