Job summary

Dexian is seeking a hands-on Software QA professional in Tampa to lead testing across web, desktop, and API projects. You will design test plans, execute tests, and collaborate with developers and analysts to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

The role combines manual testing expertise with automation scripting using Playwright, Cypress, and WebDriverIO, leveraging Jira/Azure DevOps for defect tracking. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Software QA experience.
• Strong background in manual testing and creating/executing test cases.
• Experience in functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing.
• At least 1 year of hands-on automation with Playwright, Cypress, WebDriverIO, or similar tools.
• Ability to write automation scripts with JavaScript/TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience using Jira or Azure DevOps for defect management.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile.
• Experience testing web apps; desktop and API testing is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to write and maintain automation scripts using JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js-based technologies.
• Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management platforms.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile development practices.
• Experience testing web-based applications; desktop and API testing experience is a plus.

The ideal candidate is a genuine hands-on tester who has spent the majority of their career performing manual QA while developing some automation capabilities along the way.
