Job summary

JPL/NASA in Pasadena, CA seeks a Quality Assurance Electrical Engineer to oversee QA/QC of electrical design for lab facilities. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or similar and at least 6 years of related experience with US citizenship.

You will review drawings, calculations, and specifications for compliance with codes, coordinate with disciplines, and prepare clear QA/QC feedback using Bluebeam. The contract is 14 months, with a 1st shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar with minimum 6 years of related experience; US Citizen.
• QA/QC experience and design review of moderately complex building/facilities projects.
• Knowledge of electrical building systems, applicable codes and industry best practices.
• Ability to read, interpret, and evaluate construction drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical design drawings, calculations and specifications for compliance with California Electrical Code and building/energy codes.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other building systems.
• Provide clear QA/QC comments and technical feedback using Bluebeam.
• Review resubmittals and verify corrections are incorporated.
• Maintain QA/QC standards, checklists and procedures.
• Participate in design reviews and meetings; guide code interpretation.
• Identify non-conforming work and safety risks, support resolution.
