Job summary

MathCo is seeking a QA Data & Automation Engineer to own quality strategy for our Enterprise Data Platform and AI delivery ecosystem. You will design automation frameworks, validate complex data flows, and collaborate with engineering, data science, and product teams to ensure enterprise-grade reliability.

You will build automated test suites, perform AI/ML validation, and lead data quality testing across large-scale pipelines, while driving release readiness and stakeholder sign-offs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on software testing experience, ideally in data engineering, analytics, or cloud-native environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Java with automation frameworks.
• Deep SQL proficiency and familiarity with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Automation engineering: Build automated test suites and frameworks from scratch using open-source tools and modern CI/CD practices.
• Functional and AI/ML validation: Perform deep functional testing, output verification, and QA for dashboards, ML models, and AI-driven apps.
• Data quality and pipeline testing: Write advanced SQL queries to validate cloud ingestion, ETL/ELT transformations, and data integrity across pipelines.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Translate BRDs and user stories into robust test plans with engineering and product teams.
• Defect lifecycle ownership: Track defects end-to-end in Jira and flag systemic risks across the platform.
• Release and UAT support: Drive UAT readiness and coordinate sign-offs for smooth releases.
