Job summary

Bakelite Synthetics in Beaver Creek, Michigan is seeking a QA Chemist to safeguard product quality, support plant operations, and maintain a safe, high‑performing manufacturing environment. You will calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, test water and process samples, review data from GC, titrators, pH meters, and work closely with operations to keep the facility running safely and efficiently.

A high school diploma with one year of lab experience is acceptable, or a BS in Chemistry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience working in a laboratory setting.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation (e.g. GC, Elemental Analyzer, titrators, pH meters) and wet chemistry analyses.
• Ability to calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Knowledge of laboratory principles.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Experience with Microsoft365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Self-motivated.
• Experience with SAP.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Experience reviewing, analyzing, and documenting lab data.
• Attention to detail.
