Job summary

Bakelite is seeking a QA Chemist to support plant operations and ensure product quality in a safe, high-performing manufacturing environment. You’ll work with advanced laboratory instrumentation, analyze critical data, and partner with operations to help keep the facility running safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of laboratory experience, with familiarity in GC, elemental analyzers, titrators, pH meters, and Microsoft365; SAP

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience working in a laboratory setting required.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation (GC, Elemental Analyzer, titrators, pH meters) and wet chemistry analyses.
• Ability to calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Knowledge of laboratory principles.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
• Testing water to maintain chemical treatment.
• Supporting the operations group.
• Reviewing laboratory data.
• Managing multiple tasks and working independently.
• Fostering a safe work environment in compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and site standards.
