Job summary

Bakelite is seeking a QA Chemist to support plant operations in Grayling, MI. You will calibrate and maintain lab equipment, test water for chemical treatment, and review data to ensure product quality.

You will work with operations to keep the facility safe and efficient, focusing on accurate data documentation and adherence to site standards. A BS in chemistry or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of laboratory experience.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation (GC, Elemental Analyzer, titrators, pH meters) and wet chemistry analyses.
• Ability to calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Knowledge of laboratory principles.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Experience with SAP.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Experience reviewing, analyzing, and documenting lab data.
• Attention to detail.
