Job summary

TEKsystems in Columbus, OH seeks an QA Automation Lead to own test strategy, governance, and automation direction. The role combines leadership with hands-on UI/API automation, ensuring end-to-end coverage and release readiness.

You will supervise testers, bridge business & technical validation, and drive automation with Playwright/Selenium within Azure DevOps. This is a hybrid contract position based in Columbus.

Qualifications

• Lead test strategy and governance with measurable requirements traceability.
• Bridge business requirements with technical validation; supervise testers.
• Hands-on automation with Playwright/Selenium when needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as Test Lead for programs, releases, modules, and production-readiness.
• Develop test strategy, scope, entry/exit criteria, estimates, schedules, dependencies.
• Assign and supervise testing work; mentor testers; enforce QA standards.
• Coordinate with BAs, Developers, POs, PMs, DevOps, DBAs, stakeholders.
• Review BRDs/FRs/user stories; ensure traceability from requirements to tests.
• Create/maintain Azure DevOps Test Plans, Test Suites, Test Cases, and runs.
• Lead defect triage; provide release quality risk and evidence-based recommendations.
• Design and execute API, UI, integration, regression, and data tests.
