Job summary

ValueMomentum is seeking an experienced QA Lead to drive testing of rate calculation functionalities in P&C insurance applications using OneShield and Earnix. You will lead test plans, collaborate with BAs, POs, and developers, and mentor junior QA staff in an Agile Onsite-Offshore setup.

The role requires strong knowledge of P&C insurance, including Personal and Commercial lines, and expertise with Jira and Xray for test management.

Qualifications

• Lead the test plans, strategies, and methodologies for testing rate calculation functionalities within P&C insurance software applications - OneShield and Earnix.
• Define testing scope, objectives, and timelines in alignment with project requirements and business goals.
• Perform both manual and automated testing of rate calculation functionalities, including verifying rate tables, rating algorithms, and premium calculations.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks to streamline testing efforts.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and developers to analyze rate calculation requirements, rate manuals, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify test scenarios and ensure comprehensive test coverage to validate rate calculation logic.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including business analysts, product owners, developers, and project managers.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior members of the QA team, including mentoring on testing best practices, methodologies, and tools.
• Ability to lead the development of comprehensive test plans, strategies, and methodologies for testing rate calculation functionalities within P&C insurance software applications.
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance, including both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
• Solid knowledge of test management tools such as Jira and Xray
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen diligence.
• Experience working in Agile environment following Onsite Offshore mode.
• Mentor junior performance team members, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to help them grow and develop in their roles.
• Basic understanding of Python scripting
• Experience in AI assisted Quality Assurance
