INVID is seeking a QA Automation Developer II to design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks. The role emphasizes API testing, BDD with Gherkin, and CI/CD collaboration for fast-paced projects.

You will write automated tests, develop scripts for APIs, document defects, and contribute to QA guidelines. The position supports a hybrid work model in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with opportunities for professional development and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years in web app development is preferred.
Experience with QA or software development certifications is preferred.
Strong knowledge of QA practices and automation testing.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain QA documentation, including test plans and defect logs.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for APIs and platform functions.
Write test cases using Gherkin in a BDD approach.
Perform API testing with Postman and Karate API frameworks.
Assist UAT by documenting results with stakeholders.
Document defects clearly and support issue resolution with teams.
Produce video walk-throughs explaining platform functionality and tests.
Participate in smoke, regression, and release validation activities.
Contribute to QA standards and internal testing processes.
Leverage Windsurf or similar AI tools to boost testing productivity.

Position Overview

We are seeking a QA Automation II to support multiple development projects that require strong quality assurance practices. This role is responsible for ensuring software quality through structured testing processes, automation testing, and clear documentation. The candidate will work closely with development teams, stakeholders, and clients to validate platform functionality, maintain testing standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the QA process. The role also supports internal initiatives to implement QA guidelines and build testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, execution reports, and defect documentation.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for APIs and platform functionality.
Write test cases using Gherkin language following the BDD testing approach.
Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and automation frameworks such as Karate API.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing documentation and validating results with stakeholders.
Document defects clearly and collaborate with development teams to ensure proper issue resolution.
Produce video documentation and walkthroughs explaining platform functionality, defects, or testing processes when needed.
Participate in smoke testing, regression testing, and release validation activities.
Contribute to the implementation of QA standards, guidelines, and internal testing processes.
Utilize AI-assisted tools such as Windsurf or similar platforms to improve testing productivity and automation workflows.
Work with multiple development environments and IDEs to support testing and automation.
Present testing results, platform demonstrations, and QA findings to clients and stakeholders when required.

Required Knowledge

Knowledge or experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC) practices.
Experience writing test cases using Gherkin language (BDD).
Knowledge of Python for automation or scripting.
Experience with Cucumber for automation testing.
Experience with Karate API for API automation testing.
Experience using Postman for API testing and validation.
Experience working with multiple IDEs and development environments.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development or automation tools such as Windsurf.
Ability to create and maintain clear and structured QA documentation.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering (preferred) or four years of equivalent working experience developing Web applications.
QA or software development certifications are strongly preferred. (ISTQB, ASTQB)
