Job summary

INVID is seeking a QA Automation II to support multiple development projects, ensuring quality through structured testing, automation, and clear documentation. The role collaborates with developers, stakeholders, and clients to validate platform functionality and improve QA processes.

The candidate will craft test plans and automate API tests using Postman and Karate API, while writing Gherkin scenarios and supporting UAT. This is a hybrid role based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA/QC practices.
• Ability to write test cases using Gherkin (BDD).
• Proficiency in Python for automation or scripting.
• Hands-on with Cucumber for automation testing.
• Experience with Karate API for API automation.
• Proficient with Postman for API testing/validation.
• Comfort working across multiple IDEs/development environments.
• Familiar with AI-assisted testing tools (Windsurf).
• Ability to create and maintain clear QA documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain QA documentation (plans, test cases, reports, defects).
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for APIs and platform features.
• Write Gherkin-based test cases following BDD.
• Perform API testing with Postman and Karate API framework.
• Support UAT by documenting results and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Document defects clearly and work with dev teams for resolution.
• Produce video documentation and walkthroughs of platforms when needed.
• Participate in smoke, regression, and release validation testing.
• Help implement QA standards and internal testing processes.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to improve testing productivity and automation workflows.
• Work across multiple environments/IDEs to support testing.

Position Overview

We are seeking a QA Automation II to support multiple development projects that require strong quality assurance practices. This role is responsible for ensuring software quality through structured testing processes, automation testing, and clear documentation. The candidate will work closely with development teams, stakeholders, and clients to validate platform functionality, maintain testing standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the QA process. The role also supports internal initiatives to implement QA guidelines and build testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, execution reports, and defect documentation.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for APIs and platform functionality.
• Write test cases using Gherkin language following the BDD testing approach.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and automation frameworks such as Karate API.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing documentation and validating results with stakeholders.
• Document defects clearly and collaborate with development teams to ensure proper issue resolution.
• Produce video documentation and walkthroughs explaining platform functionality, defects, or testing processes when needed.
• Participate in smoke testing, regression testing, and release validation activities.
• Contribute to the implementation of QA standards, guidelines, and internal testing processes.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools such as Windsurf or similar platforms to improve testing productivity and automation workflows.
• Work with multiple development environments and IDEs to support testing and automation.
• Present testing results, platform demonstrations, and QA findings to clients and stakeholders when required.

Required Knowledge

• Knowledge or experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC) practices.
• Experience writing test cases using Gherkin language (BDD).
• Knowledge of Python for automation or scripting.
• Experience with Cucumber for automation testing.
• Experience with Karate API for API automation testing.
• Experience using Postman for API testing and validation.
• Experience working with multiple IDEs and development environments.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development or automation tools such as Windsurf.
• Ability to create and maintain clear and structured QA documentation.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering (preferred) or four years of equivalent working experience developing Web applications.
• QA or software development certifications are strongly preferred. (ISTQB, ASTQB)
