Qualifications

About the Opportunity

ClearGov is looking for a QA Automation Engineer who will be a member of our growing development organization. As a QA Automation Engineer you will be a key contributor to design, building and enhancing the test automation framework used to validate ClearGov's suite of applications. We are looking for high performers that consistently demonstrate an unusual level of commitment, competence and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured automated UI test suites using JavaScript and Selenium / Webdriver IO
  • Create and maintain regression test suites and debug issues that arise from failed daily automation executions
  • Mentor junior team members in skills and best practices around test automation
  • Analyze business requirements and user story acceptance criteria to create test plans/test data that ensures business logic is implemented as expected
  • Collaborate with the Software Engineering team members to develop automation tests that are reliable, efficient and ensure proper test coverage
  • Play an active role in contributing to the continuous improvement of the ClearCov development process
  • Actively participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints
Critical Skills/Experience:
  • 3+ years of automated testing experience leveraging modern tools and best practices
  • Strong programming experience in JavaScript and Selenium / Webdriver IO
  • Experience in building automation tools and frameworks
  • Understanding of code architecture best practices such as reusability, maintainability, scalability, and abstraction.
  • Experience and understanding of source control (BitBucket / GitHub)
  • Experience working with REST APIs and usage of tools like Swagger and Postman to invoke and understand the functionality behind the APIs under test
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Knowledge of the fundamental concepts of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
  • Knowledge of multi-faceted SaaS products running in public cloud environments preferably AWS
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Superb organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication
