Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies in Parsippany, NJ is hiring a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for P&C systems. You will lead testing efforts for complex features, build scalable frameworks, and mentor junior QA engineers.

You'll work with Tosca and Playwright, perform API/UI tests, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. Strong communication and Agile QA experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years in software testing, preferably in the P&C insurance domain.
• 3-5 years in test automation.
• Proficiency in Tosca and Playwright; experience with Selenium/Cypress is a plus.
• SQL for backend testing proficiency.
• API testing experience (Postman/REST Assured).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Strong Agile QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable automated test frameworks using Tosca and other tools.
• Translate requirements into automated test strategies and plans.
• Perform functional, regression, API, accessibility tests.
• Collaborate with BAs, developers, and product owners for coverage.
• Execute tests, log defects, and track to closure in Azure DevOps.
• Develop automated tests for APIs, UI, and backend.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and review test scripts.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze results, identify trends, and provide insights.
• Maintain test docs and share knowledge across QA teams.
