Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design and maintain automated testing for our P&C insurance platforms. You will lead automation efforts, build scalable frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across web and backend systems.

The role requires 3–5 years in test automation with Tosca and Playwright, plus experience with API testing and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of software testing experience, preferably in P&C insurance.
• 3–5 years in test automation with Tosca and Playwright preferred.
• Experience with Selenium/Cypress and backend SQL testing.
• API testing experience with Postman or REST Assured.
• CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Agile QA knowledge.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable automated test frameworks using Tosca and other tools.
• Translate requirements into automated test strategies for P&C systems.
• Perform functional, regression, API, and accessibility testing.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and product owners for test coverage.
• Execute tests, log defects, and track to closure via Azure DevOps.
• Develop automated tests for APIs, UI, and backend systems.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and review test scripts.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and analyze results.
• Maintain test docs and share knowledge across QA teams.
