Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to lead test strategy and automation efforts across REST APIs and web apps. You will design scenarios in Gherkin, implement automated tests using Java, Rest Assured, and Playwright, and contribute to overall product quality.

Remote Brazil-based opportunity with cross-functional collaboration, CI/CD support, and a strong focus on continuous improvement, metrics, and quality practices within agile teams.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in Quality Assurance with a focus on test automation and software quality practices.
• Experience writing test scenarios with Gherkin and translating business requirements into testable acceptance criteria.
• Practical experience with Java and Rest Assured for automated REST API testing.
• Experience using Playwright to automate web applications.
• Ability to perform manual testing when required and identify issues not covered by automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating quality checks into delivery workflows.
• Experience using browser DevTools to troubleshoot issues.
• Knowledge of Git and GitHub for source control and test automation code management.
• Familiarity with Postman or similar tools for REST API calls and validation.
• Ability to work in Agile environments and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience coordinating integration testing across multiple squads to validate end-to-end interactions.
• Understanding of test strategy, regression and acceptance testing, and defect management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with diverse teams.
• Autonomy, adaptability, and openness to learning new technologies.
• Location-based requirement: based in Brazil; role is remote with attendance policy for Campinas region.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement testing strategies for QA across the development lifecycle.
• Design structured test scenarios using Gherkin for BDD collaboration.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests using Java, Rest Assured, and Playwright.
• Perform manual testing when needed to validate functionality and uncover issues.
• Create and manage test data sets for reliable testing across scenarios.
• Collaborate with Product Owners during UAT and homologation to validate requirements.
• Coordinate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Define and monitor quality metrics to drive improvements.
• Identify, document, and track defects; investigate root causes and preventive actions.
• Support CI/CD and coordinate integration tests across squads.
• Share knowledge and promote best practices within QA communities.
• Proactively improve testing workflows while maintaining a collaborative environment.
