Job summary

Modern Ballistic in the United States is seeking a hands-on Automation QA Engineer to design, develop and maintain automation frameworks (Page Object Model, data-driven, hybrid/BDD) and to write automated tests for UI, API and regression scenarios.

You will drive functional, integration, regression, smoke and sanity testing, automate REST API checks, and ensure quality across CI/CD pipelines. Expect collaboration in sprint planning and defect management with SQL validations.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver using Java (or Python).
• Test frameworks: TestNG / JUnit (Java) or PyTest (Python).
• API automation: Rest Assured / Postman / Newman.
• BDD: Cucumber with Gherkin.
• Build and version control: Maven / Gradle, Git.
• CI/CD integration: Jenkins or similar.
• Good working knowledge of SQL.
• SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle and Agile/Scrum.
• Defect and test management tools: Jira, Zephyr / TestRail / qTest.

Responsibilities

• Run backend validation using SQL queries
• Take part in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives
• Report test results, coverage and quality metrics to stakeholders
