Job summary

Syllo in the United States is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to own hands-on building of our test automation framework. You will convert high-value regression suites into maintainable automated tests, engineer core primitives, and optimize CI pipelines.

You will also perform targeted manual testing to safeguard product quality as automation coverage expands. Join a team focused on scalable automated testing, with exposure to AI-assisted test generation and cloud-based test execution.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience in QA Automation, Test Engineering, or Software Engineering with a strong quality focus.
• Hands-on proficiency with modern test automation frameworks and API test frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as JavaScript or Python.
• Experience integrating and debugging automated test suites within modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Proven ability to design comprehensive test scenarios that uncover edge cases, race conditions, and integration risks using techniques like boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning.
• A strong foundation in software testing methodologies, including test planning, defect lifecycles, and knowing what to test before deciding how to automate it.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Convert high-value regression suites into maintainable automated tests.
• Engineer and maintain core primitives—fixtures, selectors, and reusable components used by AI test-writing agents.
• Monitor test run performance, optimize suite execution speed, and triage flaky tests in CI pipelines.
• Tackle automation-hard flows and steadily expand scope and technical judgment.
• Flag framework gaps, tooling bottlenecks, and requirement ambiguities early to prevent blockers.
• Perform targeted manual testing to safeguard product quality as automation coverage expands.
