The role emphasizes adaptability, curiosity, and the ability to design scalable test assets using AI-assisted tools, with focus on API and web UI testing, and collaboration across the team to improve quality metrics.

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and adaptable QA Engineer to support the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for a fast-moving product track. This role is ideal for someone who is technically curious, AI-fluent and eager to collaborate closely with developers, product teams and QA leadership. We prioritize adaptability and the ability to extract value from AI-generated output over mastery of any specific tool or framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to quality processes across planning, development, and release stages of the SDLC
• Use AI-assisted development tools to design, generate, validate, and maintain test assets at scale
• Review and critically evaluate AI-generated test output before it enters the repo, catching false positives, coverage gaps, and brittle assertions
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and QA leadership to define quality standards and communicate risk clearly.
• Think beyond local scripts, understand how test solutions scale from 10 to 10,000 and architect accordingly
• Adapt processes quickly in response to a changing product environment

Required Qualifications

• Experience in software QA, testing or software development
• Working knowledge of one or more programming languages, including JavaScript, Python, Java, C# or TypeScript
• Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright or similar) covering API and web UI testing
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with AI coding assistants and extract reliable, production‑ready output
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive and curious approach - willing to learn and grow
• Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a changing environment

Nice to Have

• Experience building or improving AI‑assisted tooling (prompts, pipelines, generators)
• CI/CD integration of automated test suites
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
• Quantifiable impact from past QA work (time saved, defect catch rate, coverage improvement)
