Job summary

NoMoBo Inc. in San Diego is seeking a QA Engineer to establish and evolve formal QA processes, and execute test cases for API and UI testing on customer-facing web and mobile applications.

The role focuses on increasing test automation to reduce manual regression, with some manual testing, and learning latest QA practices for iOS and Android development. Experience with Java, Python and mobile/web test frameworks highly valued.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building web and mobile testing frameworks.
• Experience with Java and Python.
• Familiarity with test automation for mobile apps.
• Experience with Selenium and mobile testing tools (Espresso, XCUI, Appium).
• Some React JS or React Native coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of QA tools, processes and best practices.
• Degree in Computer Science preferred.
• Experience in Agile environments preferred.

Job description

Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices/tools.

Execute test cases for API and UI testing on customer-facing web and mobile applications

Identify, record and document test cases and defects thoroughly.

Increase test automation to require less manual testing for regression runs

In addition to automated testing, there will also be some manual testing needs

Learn the newest and best practices in iOS and Android application development

REQUIRED Experience:

Hands-on experience building web and mobile frameworks

Experience with Java, Python

Ideal Candidates Will Also Have:

Extensive experience creating test frameworks for mobile applications

Experience with Web (Selenium) & Mobile Testing Tools (Espresso, XCUI, Appium, etc.)

Some experience with React JS or React Native coding

Experience with the latest QA tools, principles and processes

Ideally have a degree in Computer Science

Preferred experience in an Agile environment

Experience:

Scripting: 2 years (Preferred)

Software testing: 3 years (Preferred)

Job Type:

3 month contract extended to 12 months on performance.
