Job summary

Kforce is seeking a QA Automation Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to drive quality across cloud-based applications. You will design and maintain automated test frameworks, validate web, API, and backend services, and partner with engineering and product teams to ensure reliable releases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in software QA with 3+ years in test automation.
• Experience with web/API/backend testing and automation tools.
• Proficient in SQL, Git, CI/CD and Agile environments.
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages (C#, Java, Python, JS).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to help drive software quality and test automation across modern cloud-based applications. In this role, you'll design and maintain automated testing frameworks, validate web, API, and backend applications, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure reliable, high-quality software releases.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Create and execute test plans for web, API, and backend applications
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
• Partner with developers and product teams to improve quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Mentor junior QA team members and promote testing best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of software quality assurance experience, including 3+ years focused on test automation
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman or ReadyAPI
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development environments
• Strong programming skills in C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Mobile testing experience (iOS/Android)
• Experience with BDD frameworks, performance testing, Docker, Kubernetes, or NoSQL databases

Pay Range

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
