Lakeside Foods, Inc. in Plainview, MN is hiring an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager to support the QA Manager in maintaining food safety and quality. You will help implement regulatory requirements and Lakeside policies at the Plainview facility.

Qualifications

• A Food Science degree or technical courses in Chemistry, Bacteriology or related field, with 1+ years of practical experience.
• Knowledge of vegetable canning/freezing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the QA manager in ensuring all Federal, State, and Local laws and Lakeside Foods policies regarding food safety and quality are followed.
• Assist in overseeing proper implementation of thermal processing of low acid canned foods according to 21 CFR 113, including CCP monitoring equipment and scheduled process.
• Assist in verification activities related to sanitation, including microbiological, pathogen monitoring and visual inspections.
• Assist in FDA, USDA, State, Third Party, internal, and customer audits and inspections.
