Job summary

University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences IT seeks an IT Quality Assurance Analyst to test applications, data warehouse solutions, and reporting systems. You will write and execute test cases, track defects, and document testing scope and results, collaborating with developers, business analysts, and end users.

You will validate data movement through the warehouse, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to QA process improvements under the QA manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or related field required.
• Minimum of two years of software quality assurance or software testing experience.
• Ability to write and execute test cases, document results, and work within a defect tracking system.
• Ability to write SQL queries against Oracle or SQL Server to validate data.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and develop test cases and test plans for admin, academic, or student systems.
• Validate application functionality against requirements and ensure data integrity.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Build and maintain automated test cases; review results and adjust scripts.
• Log defects in Jira, track through resolution, and retest fixes before release.
