Job summary

Sligo Software Solutions, Inc. in Albany, New York is seeking a QA Analyst/Data Analyst to support Medicaid MECM project for NY State Department of Health. This on-site position focuses on testing, requirements analysis, and reporting for a 30-month engagement.

Responsibilities include developing test plans, UAT, regression testing, creating docs, and coordinating with SMEs and policy teams to ensure requirements are met.

Qualifications

• This is an onsite role located in Albany, NY for 30 months.
• 10+ years of experience in analyzing, designing and implementing information systems.
• 60 months experience creating reports/analyzes using Tableau, MS Access, Cognos, Power BI or similar tools.
• 60 months experience querying/analyzing data using PL/SQL, SQL, Python or similar tools.
• 18 months experience creating robust test plans/test cases for web applications.
• 18 months experience creating, managing and executing functional and regression test scripts.
• 18 months experience performing application testing based on written test scripts, documenting, tracking and communicating defects utilizing JSM/JIRA or similar tool.
• 18 months experience analyzing business requirements documents and working with technical and policy teams to identify gaps.
• 12 months help desk related experience including documenting, trouble shooting, and resolving reported software issues.

Assesses the suitability of information systems in terms of their intended outcomes and liaises with end users, software vendors and programmers in order to achieve these outcomes. Uses analysis and design techniques to solve business problems using information technology. Serves as change agent, who identifies the organizational improvements needed, designs systems to implement those changes and trains and motivates others to use the systems.
