Job summary

Next Ventures is seeking a Python Web Application Developer to support a modern enterprise web application built on aggregated data. The role involves developing Python-based web apps, APIs, cloud data platform integration, and supporting Power BI reporting.

You will collaborate with IT infrastructure, data, and business teams to deploy, scale, and maintain enterprise applications, ensuring robust security and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building Python-based web applications.
• Experience with Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Proficiency in building and supporting web apps, backend services, and REST APIs.
• Understanding of cloud-hosted apps and enterprise data connectivity.
• Experience integrating with Databricks or similar data platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise authentication and access management.
• Experience deploying applications and managing environments.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications and backend services using Python-based frameworks.
• Build and support APIs and data connectivity workflows between apps, enterprise systems, and data platforms.
• Integrate applications with cloud data platforms, including Databricks or similar analytics tools.
• Support integration with Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions where applicable.
• Assist with deployment and operationalization of enterprise web apps with IT/infrastructure teams.
• Configure environments, testing, and release management processes.
• Troubleshoot deployment, connectivity, authentication, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure, data, and business teams to gather requirements.
• Participate in documentation, system monitoring, and production support.
• Follow application security, authentication, and access management best practices.
• Support GIS functionality and spatial data requirements if introduced.
