Trident Systems in Fairfax, VA seeks a Software Engineer to design, implement, and test Python-based software for PM&L and internal projects. You will manipulate data, handle sensor streams, and export to multiple platforms, working on Linux, Windows, and Android environments in a fast-paced ICS unit.

The role emphasizes modular production-grade software, APIs, and data formats, with hybrid onsite work a few days weekly in Fairfax.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years in an agile environment or 4 years with a graduate degree.
• Experience with Python software development.
• Experience developing maintainable production-quality software with modular design and testing.
• Experience with Python libraries for data processing, automation, APIs, and application development.
• Experience in Linux and Windows development environments; familiarity with data formats like JSON/CSV/XML and REST APIs.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and test software for PM&L projects and internal efforts.
• Develop software for data manipulation, storage, translation, sensor data capture, and export to platforms.
• Convert data into standardized messaging formats and interfaces.
• Build and maintain interfaces to databases, APIs, file sources, message brokers, and external apps.
• Implement algorithms for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
• Develop software across Linux, Windows, and Android environments and document efforts.
• Support packaging, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in lab, field, and customer environments.
• Assist with tests, demonstrations, and customer-facing engineering activities.
