Trident Systems is seeking a Principal GSE Software Engineer to lead design and evolution of software platforms that automate electronic test and support systems. You will own the core GSE framework, define architecture, and ensure reliability and scalability across programs and product lines.

The role requires deep expertise in Python, asynchronous programming, hardware communication, and software architecture, with collaboration across engineering disciplines to meet long-term infrastructure

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years with a graduate degree or 9+ years with a bachelor's.
• Extensive Python software development experience.
• Expertise with asyncio and async programming.
• Experience interfacing with hardware instruments and embedded systems.
• Strong software architecture and object-oriented design background.
• Proven leadership or architectural direction for software platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Define the reusable GSE software platform architecture and design principles.
• Develop scalable asynchronous software for instrument control and test systems.
• Lead Python framework development for automated GSE and test systems.
• Create abstractions for instruments, communication buses, and test procedures.
• Mentor engineers in async programming, architecture, and best practices.
