Job summary

Marlabs in the United States is seeking a Security Automation Engineer (Python) to design, build, and maintain production-grade automation solutions that strengthen security operations. You’ll develop data pipelines, API integrations, and AI-assisted workflows to automate triage and reporting across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Python development building production-grade applications and automation
• Strong experience with REST APIs, OAuth/token-based authentication, pagination, rate limits, retries
• Hands-on expertise with AWS services (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3, IAM, API Gateway)
• Proficiency with Terraform, Git, and GitHub Actions CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
• Working knowledge of application and cloud security concepts (OWASP Top 10, secure coding, vulnerability management)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; excellent communication; experience in security operations or enterprise environments

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based automation solutions, data pipelines, API integrations, and reporting for security and cloud operations
• Integrate enterprise security platforms (SAST, DAST, CNAPP/CSPM, SIEM, GRC, ITSM) via REST APIs
• Build AI-assisted workflows to triage, classify, route, and report security findings
• Deploy and support cloud-native solutions on AWS (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3, IAM, API Gateway)
• Refactor and improve automation frameworks; enhance CI/CD, testing, and IaC practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate security and business requirements into scalable software solutions
