Job summary

NorthMark Compute & Cloud is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer who blends clean Python with deep networking know-how, including BGP, to automate provisioning and management of global data-center infrastructure.

You will drive automation projects end-to-end, collaborating with network, security, and platform teams to ensure reliable, scalable operations using Ansible, Terraform, and Jinja2 within CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience spanning software development and network engineering with automation ownership.
• Strong Python programming and software engineering fundamentals including testing, VCS, CI/CD.
• Experience with API design, service integration, or platform engineering.
• Familiarity with secrets management, policy-as-code, and service discovery.
• Deep networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, load balancing, security.
• Hands-on with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform, Jinja2).
• Experience with cloud-native tech: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Understanding of microservices, data consistency, fault tolerance, security, and observability.
• Ability to work in cross-functional, agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for network provisioning and lifecycle management across global infrastructure.
• Contribute to architectural discussions for maintainable and scalable automation.
• Develop Python tooling and use Ansible, Terraform, and Jinja2 for software-driven network designs/IaC.
• Integrate network automation into CI/CD pipelines for repeatable, reliable deployments.
• Build APIs and self-service tooling for engineering teams.
• Implement observability and telemetry for network performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Security, and Platform teams to deliver scalable automation.
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response and reliability improvements.
