iCapital is seeking an Assistant Vice President Python Developer in Stamford, CT to build scalable, high-performance applications. You will collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions.

Role requires 5–7 years of Python experience, API development, and AWS Lambda/S3 familiarity. The position offers salary range and equity, with an emphasis on quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Python Engineer and Developer - Assistant Vice President

About the Role

iCapital is seeking an Assistant Vice President Python Developer to join the growing Core Operations Technology team. This individual will have foundational experience in Python programming and a passion for building scalable, high-performance applications. This roles collaborates with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and scripts.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve issues in existing code.
• Collaborate with team members on code reviews, design discussions, and agile development processes.
• Participate in the development of REST APIs, web services, and data processing pipelines.
• Assist in writing unit tests and automated test cases to ensure quality and performance.
• Support the integration of third‑party libraries and APIs.
• Maintain version control using Git and follow CI/CD practices.
• Work with Lambda functions for serverless computing tasks.
• Manage and interact with AWS S3 buckets for file storage and retrieval.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute ideas for improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
• 5-7 years of Python development experience, including Python, web scraping tools (Playwright, Selenium), REST APIs, JSON, and Git
• Working knowledge of SQL and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Linux and Unix environments, and web frameworks such as Flask or Django
• Experience with AWS services, including Lambda, S3, and serverless application development; familiar with Azure or GCP is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality

The base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $135,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full‑time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, generously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental, vision, telemedicine, and virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).
