Job summary

CareAcross is hiring a part-time Django/Python engineer to help build a complex infra for patient-focused solutions. You will collaborate with Development and Product teams to enhance care across patients, clinicians, researchers, and hospitals, developing digital therapeutics and analytics tools.

This role is fully remote, ~15-25 hours/week with flexibility, and may evolve into full-time if mutually desired. The work aims to improve patient engagement, clinician workflows, and research outcomes.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Python/Django experience.
• At least 2 years of relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful API design.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Django templates.
• Ability to plan work and meet deadlines independently.
• Passion for high-quality output.

The Role

Our company is growing and our solutions are expanding, leading to interesting technical and product challenges.

You will work on Python & Django, in collaboration with our Development and Product teams. Your goal will be to build a complex infrastructure of services to enhance our solutions for patients, clinicians, researchers, hospitals, as well as the industry.

Our solutions operate across multiple countries, helping improve quality of care, patient engagement, clinician workflows, and clinical research.

More specifically, you will contribute to the development of digital therapeutics and other patient-facing applications, clinician dashboards, remote patient monitoring workflows, integrations with third-party systems, analytics pipelines, and tools for researchers and clinical trials.

The position is part-time (~15-25 hours/week, with flexibility regarding the specific working hours throughout the week). It may evolve into a full-time position if mutually desired.

Requirements

Must-haves

• At least 2 years experience with Python/Django (ideally; or alternatively, another MVC framework)
• At least 2 years experience with relational databases and SQL technologies (ideally PostgreSQL)
• Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful web service design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Django Templates.
• Ability to plan work, prioritise tasks independently and efficiently, in order to meet deadlines.
• Passion for high-quality output.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud-based services such as Heroku, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, DigitalOcean.
• Understanding of integration and deployment processes.
