Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Python Developer to join an onsite Denver team. The role focuses on transforming requirements into coded solutions, building unit tests, and supporting architecture decisions to deliver robust applications.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a large enterprise, strong Django experience, and proficiency with FastAPI, Kafka/RabbitMQ, and modern JS (Angular, ES6/HTML5/CSS3). This is an onsite, full‑time role.

• 5+ years as a Python developer in a large enterprise environment.
• Proficient with Django, Angular, ES6/HTML5/CSS3, and MySQL.
• Experience with Git and unit testing frameworks.
• Familiar with FastAPI and event-based integrations (Kafka / RabbitMQ).
• Experienced in Agile SDLC and proofs-of-concept work.

Python Developer

Location: Denver, Colorado (Onsite)

Alternate Location: Chicago, IL, Washington, DC, Charlotte, NC

All resources are required to be onsite full time (5 days a week, 9-5p local time)

Role Overview

This position is for an application developer to contribute to story refinement and requirements definition. The role involves performing proofs of concept to mitigate risk, coding solutions, and developing unit tests to meet acceptance criteria. The developer will utilize multiple architectural components and assist the team in resolving technical complexities while maintaining principal architecture integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to story refinement and defining requirements.
• Perform spike/proof of concept work to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Code solutions and unit tests to deliver requirements per the defined acceptance criteria.
• Utilize multiple architectural components (data, application, business) in the design and development of client requirements.
• Assist the team with resolving technical complexities.
• Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for integration, regression, and performance.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Python Developer in a large enterprise environment
• Knowledge of Python Django Framework
• Knowledge of Angular, ES6/HTML5/CSS3.
• Knowledge of MySQL databases.
• Understanding of Git version control system.
• Understanding of unit testing frameworks.
• Experience working in an Agile development process and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Experience with FastAPI framework
• Knowledge of designing and implementing Event-Based integration services using Message Brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of software development lifecycle, preferably with Agile, Kanban/Scrum.
• Experience with cyber security related workflows, solutions, or implementation.
• Familiarity with .NET Core, Jenkins, MSBuild, Ansible, XLR, or Automated testing.
