Black Cape is seeking a Python Data Engineer (Entry to Mid Level) for an onsite role in Tampa, FL. Candidates must hold a TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship, with up to 5 years of experience in Python development.

The position supports federal government projects in a classified environment, requiring work onsite in a SCIF. The role demands experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQLite), Linux work across macOS, Windows, and Linux, and a strong Agile background.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python.

• Familiarity with SQL.

Job Overview

Python Data Engineer (Entry - Mid Level)

Location: Tampa, FL

Onsite: Expected to work onsite (in a SCIF) up to 5 days per week.

Security Clearance: Must hold a TS/SCI clearance. US citizenship is required.

Required Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree
• TS/SCI clearance (no poly required)
• 0‑5 years of professional development experience
• Strong experience with Python
• Experience with at least one relational database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite)
• Experience working with agile software development teams
• Experience working in classified government environments
