Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Business Analyst with strong experience in capital markets and hands-on Python programming skills. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with trading, risk, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to capital markets products and risk analytics.
  • Develop and maintain Python-based tools and scripts to support data analysis, reporting, and automation of business processes.
  • Analyze and interpret complex financial instruments including interest rate swaps, FX products, bonds, and repos.
  • Work closely with risk and finance teams to understand and validate P&L and risk calculations for various asset classes.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of regulatory requirements such as Volcker Rule, MiFID II, and other global financial regulations.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and work with development teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and user training for new tools and system enhancements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in capital markets, preferably within an investment bank, hedge fund, or financial services firm.
  • Strong Python programming skills with the ability to manipulate large datasets and automate analytical workflows.
  • Deep understanding of financial instruments such as interest rate swaps, FX derivatives, bonds, and repos.
  • Solid grasp of risk and P&L metrics, including how they are calculated and reported.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including Volcker Rule, MiFID II, and other relevant compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
