Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 1 in the US to contribute to AI and ML initiatives across banking, wealth management, and insurance. The role involves designing, coding, testing, and deploying ML models and AI agents within AWS environments, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable digital solutions.

You will work on targeted interviews, model development, and production monitoring, with emphasis on prompt engineering and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required; three years of progressive experience may substitute for education.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries; experience with LLMs and generative AI.
• Experience with AWS services (SageMaker, Bedrock, S3, EC2, Lambda) and ML Ops practices.
• Experience in developing and deploying AI agents and prompt engineering skills.
• Familiarity with data privacy and security in cloud environments.
• Ability to work across SDLC with an agile mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interviewing and workshops to capture user needs and document requirements.
• Participate in design discussions to define software specs and create process docs.
• Develop, refine, and document code for new applications per design specs.
• Execute test plans, analyze results, and report defects to improve software performance.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 1, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Assist in conducting targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs, and ensure accurate documentation of stakeholder requirements


• Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications, and aid in creation of process documentation.


• Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications, following detailed design specifications to meet user requirements


• Execute test plans, analyse outcomes, and report defects to the development team, to facilitate enhancement of software performance


• Support the integration of new software features, facilitating smooth transitions within the existing system infrastructure


• Monitor and troubleshooting live applications, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and creation of comprehensive documentation for ongoing system maintenance


• Systematically document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions, thereby enriching team's knowledge repository

Required Skill And Experience

• Experience in Python and ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).


• Experience in Design, develop, and fine-tune machine learning models, particularly those involving LLMs and generative AI.


• Experience with AWS services, especially Bedrock, S3, EC2, and Lambda Familiarity with ML Ops practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring.


• Experience with AWS SageMaker for model development and model deployment.


• Experience with developing and deploying AI Agents for business problems.


• Experience in optimizing and adapt prompt engineering strategies to improve model performance and relevance.


• Experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere) and prompt engineering.


• Experience in understanding quantitative/statistical/ML/AI modeling methodologies.


• Experience in ML engineering, including hands-on experience with Generative AI/LLMs.

Preferred Skill And Experience

• Experience in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and APIs to support ML workflows.


• Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices in cloud environments.


• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration is a plus.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
