Job summary

Infosys is seeking a results-driven software leader to drive digital transformation for financial services, leveraging AWS, Python, and CI/CD practices. You will contribute to requirements, design decisions, code, and tests for scalable, cloud-native systems.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, system design, and production reliability, with opportunities to work across banking, wealth management, and insurance sectors in a dynamic Infosys environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, ECR, EFS, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, Glue, S3, API Gateway) and SQS/SNS.
• Proficient in Python libraries and scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD approaches and tools (GitLab, Git), plus containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, production monitoring, and reliability improvements.
• Strong background in system design and scalability for distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation and document design decisions to guide development teams.
• Participate in coding, integrate features, and maintain code repositories for stability.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to ensure quality.
• Develop user training materials and support frameworks for new software deployments.
• Resolve production issues and propose preventive strategies to improve reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities for knowledge sharing.
• Support cross-functional teams through SDLC from requirements to implementation.
• Collaborate in design discussions and help translate complex requirements into actionable tasks.

Area Of Responsibility

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill And Experience

• Experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, ECR, EFS, EMR, Lambda, Step functions, RDS, Glue, S3, API Gateway), SQS/SNS, REST APIs & Microservices.
• Experience in Python libraries and scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD (GitLab, Git), Docker & Kubernetes, Terraform (IaC), SDLC.
• Familiarities with Cloud‑native architecture patterns, Production monitoring & reliability improvements.
• Experience with System Design & Scalability.

Preferred Skill And Experience

• Experience with Pyspark.
• Experience with Fast API/Flask frameworks, Large‑scale data processing (JSON/XML/Parquet) is preferred.
• Experience with Distributed Systems, SQL & NoSQL (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
