Job summary

Sharp Decisions is seeking a Python Developer with strong Fixed Income trading experience to develop, enhance, and support applications used within front-office Sales & Trading environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on Python development and a solid understanding of Fixed Income and Derivatives products, trading workflows, and front-office trading systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on Python development.
• Deep understanding of Fixed Income trading and front-office environments.
• Experience with Fixed Income and Derivative products (bonds, swaps, caps/floors, swaptions).
• Knowledge of trading workflows and trade lifecycle processes.
• Experience with REST APIs and API integrations.
• Experience with UI and API automation.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications for front-office trading systems.
• Build automation for trading workflows, trade processing, market data, and financial applications.
• Collaborate with Front Office users, Traders, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams.
• Support and enhance Sales & Trading workflows, including order management and trade lifecycles.
• Develop and maintain API integrations and automation solutions.
• Work on UI and API automation to ensure trading system reliability.
• Analyze issues, troubleshoot defects, and implement effective fixes.
• Participate in testing (functional, integration, regression) of trading applications.
• Ensure solutions meet business requirements, performance targets, and controls.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and CI/CD pipelines and produce technical documentation.
