Job summary

Jobtailor in New Jersey is seeking a Python-focused applications developer to join the Technology team. You will participate in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs, and consult with users and stakeholders.

You will analyze code, identify enhancements, test and debug, and support customer exposure systems while working with limited supervision. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of Python in financial services are required, along with strong problem-solving

• 2+ years of Python in the Financial Service industry
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Responsibilities

• Participate in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs with the Technology team
• Identify and define necessary system enhancements using script tools and by analyzing/interpreting code
• Consult with users, clients, and technology groups; recommend programming solutions; install and support customer exposure systems
• Apply programming languages to design specifications
• Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues; conduct testing and debugging
• Advise or coach new or lower-level analysts
• Identify problems, evaluate information, and recommend and implement solutions
• Resolve issues using acquired technical experience and established precedents
• Operate with limited direct supervision and exercise independent judgment and autonomy
• Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or team members
• Assess risk, drive compliance, safeguard Citi and client assets, and elevate, manage, and report control issues
