Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a Python and Java Developer proficient in AWS to design, build, and maintain full-stack applications. You will develop REST APIs, microservices, and backend services while crafting responsive front-ends with modern JS frameworks.

Responsibilities include cloud design, CI/CD automation, and performance testing, with a focus on secure, scalable architectures in hybrid environments. Collaborative engineering culture with documentation and mentorship for juniors.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java and Python with Spring/Bootstrap frameworks.
• Experience designing REST APIs, microservices, and backend services.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL data modeling and optimization skills.
• Hands-on AWS cloud experience (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS).
• Familiar with Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker, and CI/CD tooling.
• Knowledge of security, authentication, authorization, and IAM best practices.
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

Requirements

• Strong development experience with Java, including Spring Boot/Spring Framework, and Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, Angular, or similar front-end technologies
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
• Experience with SQL, data modeling, query optimization, and relational or NoSQL databases
• Hands-on AWS experience with services such as EC2, S3, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker, Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or comparable DevOps technologies
• Experience developing and supporting cloud-native or hybrid-cloud applications
• Knowledge of application security, authentication, authorization, and access management practices
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
