Job Summary

Responsible for performing extruder, pressing, and tooling operations.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Extruder Operation: Maintain start-up records, set up and calibrate powder weighing machines, operate in full fire suit with self breathing apparatus, control extruder speed, monitor instrumentation, maintain temperatures and vacuum settings, measure pellet features per blueprints, ensure safety and cleanliness, and keep production records.
2. Pressing Operation: Similar duties as extruder operation, including operating presses in automatic or manual mode, controlling cycle times, monitoring control panels, measuring flare or bagged composition features, maintaining data accuracy, safety, cleanliness, and records.
3. Tooling Operation: Operate CNC and conventional milling/drilling machines, machine pellets, perform machine lubrication, monitor coolant and filtration systems, reference axes, measure machined features, and maintain safety and records.

Other duties include maintaining a safe and clean environment, wearing PPE, adhering to ethical standards, and understanding Esterline’s policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently, and possess basic reading and math skills.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including a full fire suit with self breathing apparatus.
• Physical ability to lift and move drums weighing 50 lbs.

Education/Experience

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years manufacturing experience, including machinery operation.
