Job Summary

Responsible for extruder, pressing, and tooling operations related to manufacturing processes.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Extruder Operation: Maintain start-up records, set up and calibrate powder weighing machines, operate in full fire suit with self-breathing apparatus, control extruder speed, monitor control panels, maintain temperatures, vacuum settings, measure pellet features per blueprints, and ensure a safe, clean environment.
  2. Pressing Operation: Maintain records, set up and calibrate equipment, operate press automatically or manually, control cycle times, monitor instrumentation, measure flare/bagged features, maintain data accuracy, and uphold safety standards.
  3. Tooling Operation: Operate CNC and conventional milling/drilling machines, maintain records, perform lubrication, monitor coolant and filtration systems, reference X-Y-Z axes, and measure machined features.
  4. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  5. Wear required PPE.
  6. Uphold high ethical standards and adhere to company policies.

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently, and possess basic reading and math skills.
  • Ability to wear PPE such as a full fire suit with self-breathing apparatus.
  • Physical ability to lift and move drums (up to 50 lbs).

Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment with machinery operation experience.

U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.
