Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Richardson, TX is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support DoD-grade Linux environments (RHEL/Ubuntu), manage configuration and automation, and maintain server hardware, networking, and storage.

You will work in a cross-functional team, drive improvements, and ensure security compliance with NIST 800-53, with opportunities to advance and participate in learning and ROI-based outcomes.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years.
• U.S. citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance required day one.
• Linux system administration with RHEL/Ubuntu.
• Server administration and virtualization (VMware)
• Networking fundamentals
• NIST 800-53 compliance
• Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification (Sec+) preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Collateral Secret Govt. Security Clearance, up to Top Secret.

You will support the implementation, deployment, and maintenance of Linux solutions for assigned projects.

You will contribute to automation, hardening, and operational stability efforts across the Secure Labs environment.

Qualifications YOU Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

• Linux Systems Administration (RHEL and Ubuntu required)
• Server administration and virtualization technologies (VMware, etc.)
• Networking fundamentals
• Compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53)
• Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification (e.g., Sec+). Active certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Collateral Secret Govt. Security Clearance, up to Top Secret. Active clearance preferred.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
