Collins Aerospace is seeking a Linux-focused System Administrator for an onsite role in Richardson, TX. You will manage RHEL/Ubuntu servers, virtualization, and automation to support secure lab environments and projects.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree and 5+ years experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years experience.
• U.S. citizenship and DoD Secret clearance required day one.
• Linux systems administration on RHEL and Ubuntu.
• Server administration and virtualization (VMware, etc.).
• Networking fundamentals.
• Compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53).
• Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification (e.g., Sec+). Active certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Collateral Secret Govt. Security Clearance up to Top Secret. Active clearance preferred.

• This is an onsite position in Richardson, TX

What YOU will do:

• You will work with one or more of the following Linux-focused technologies:
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Ubuntu Server
• Configuration management and automation (Ansible preferred)
• Virtualization platforms
• Server hardware and system services
• Networking and storage technologies
• Backup and restoration tools
• You will regularly work with other members of the organization as part of a cross‑functional team.
• You will build strong working relationships with customers and peers.
• You will assist in driving escalations to resolution across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support levels.
• You will participate in improvement of internal processes (LEAN/ACE/CORE).
• You will use your technical knowledge and Linux experience to facilitate resolution of service requests and restoration tickets.
• You will support the implementation, deployment, and maintenance of Linux solutions for assigned projects.
• You will contribute to automation, hardening, and operational stability efforts across the Secure Labs environment.

Qualifications YOU Must Have:

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
