Job summary

OEM KCAP in Kansas City area is seeking a PVT Engineer to defend functional system quality for Vehicle/Transit electrical systems, handle product development, and improve electrical distribution, 12V systems, and CAN networking.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with 2+ years in electrical/software engineering, strong problem solving, and experience with GSAR/JIRA/IRIS or similar tools. Onsite work at KCAP with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field required.
2+ years' experience as Product/Quality Engineer in Electrical/Software Environment.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills; 6 Sigma training preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver vehicle line quality objectives.
Manage warranty issue tracking and resolution.
Identify opportunities for high impact warranty improvement actions.
Lead/support and coordinate issue containment/resolution with Product Development, Supplier and Production teams.
Lead production trials.
Assist in troubleshooting/repair of units.
