Job summary

Parkview Baptist Church is seeking a Parkview Kids Director to lead a gospel-centered, safety-focused ministry for children from nursery through 5th grade. You will build and mentor volunteer teams, select and adapt curricula, and collaborate with parents to support kids in their faith journey.

The director will oversee a growing ministry, work within a team-based structure, and drive leadership development while ensuring a safe, engaging environment for kids to encounter Jesus.

Qualifications

• Mature, growing follower of Jesus with integrity.
• Team builder and disciple-maker, humble and teachable.
• Experienced in children’s ministry, organized, comfortable with church software such as Planning Center.
• In agreement with Parkview’s statement of faith.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, gospel-centered weekly environments and special events from nursery through 5th grade.
• Own child-safety policy, screening, training, and check-in.
• Choose and adapt curriculum.
• Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteer teams, and develop volunteers into leaders.
• Partner with and equip parents.
• Manage the Kids budget, supplies, and calendar.

Parkview Kids Director

Parkview Kids exists to help kids, babies through 5th grade, meet Jesus on their level. We are looking for a leader who loves Jesus, loves kids, and loves raising up other leaders to join the mission.

About Parkview

Parkview Baptist Church has grown to 550-600 in weekly attendance, and our kids ministry is growing with it. We are moving toward a team-based approach to Kids leadership, and our next director will lead within that team, discipling new leaders rather than carrying the ministry alone.
