Christian Northview Life Church Inc in Indiana seeks a Northview Kids Director to provide leadership, vision, and creative direction to the Northview Kids ministry at the campus, reporting to the Campus Pastor.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of related experience in children’s ministry or as a coordinator/director.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and vision for the Northview Kids ministry at the campus.
• Recruit, train and lead Northview Kids volunteers and build a strong volunteer culture.
• Coordinate events and family programs to support the Family Framework.
• Ensure child safety through risk management and training practices.
• Collaborate with Central/Campus teams to support curriculum and events.
• Lead baby dedications, family rhythms, and volunteer appreciation activities.
• Engage with parents and families to foster relational care and ongoing involvement.

Purpose of the Role

The Northview Kids Director’s primary responsibility is to provide leadership, vision, and creative direction to the Northview Kids ministry at the campus. This position is part of the Northview Kids Ministry and reports to the Campus Pastor with a dotted line to the Family Ministry Pastor.

Cultivate a Healthy Volunteer Team Culture– Recruit and Train Your Team Consistently

Contribute to Central/Campus Collaboration– Ensure the Success of SEC at Events

Own the Weekend Experience

Champion The Family Framework – Be a Consistent Resource for Families (Relational Care)

All Administrative Tasks Associated with the Kid’s Director Role – Rock, Email, Planning Center, Asana, etc.

Identifies and develops leaders to serve in Northview Kids

Recruits, trains, leads, and motivates Northview Kids volunteers. Takes the initiative in building relationships, conducting regular informational/training sessions, and showing appreciation

Helps create and develops a culture that embraces the values, purposes, and directions of the Kids ministries

Participates in Central Collaboration (i.e. Curriculum Pods or Specialty Pods)

Pursues regular contact and relationship building with children and their parents

Ensures Safety of children by identifying and implementing appropriate risk management and training practices

Communicates regularly with Northview parents about what is happening in Northview Kids

Strives to improve personal and professional skills by looking for and participating in learning opportunities

Steps into Northview Kids classrooms to help and encourage volunteers

Coordinates Northview Kids events with other ministries

Ongoing planning and preparation for upcoming campus level Family Framework events

Leads Baby Dedication(2x/year)

Leads Family Rhythms (1x/year)

Host FX (2x/year) and volunteers at FX (2x/year)

Leads Bible Presentation (1x/year)

Leads volunteer appreciation events (at least 2x/year)

Participates in monthly Huddles and Department meetings

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position works with volunteers and must have an understanding that volunteers are key to the ministry of the church, and the employee must have a heart to recruit, train, equip and support volunteers in fulfilling their roles.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

3-5+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Related experience would be working in children’s ministry as a coordinator or director, preferably at a large church.
