Job summary

Broadcom Inc. in Colorado is seeking an experienced PVD Equipment Engineer to own and support 8” wafer fabrication equipment, collaborating with Technology Development and Process Engineering to develop robust processes and execute them in high-volume manufacturing.

You will lead troubleshooting, tool optimization, and equipment upgrades, with a focus on predictive maintenance, data-driven improvements, and cross-functional project execution to sustain technological leadership.

Qualifications

• BS in EE, ME, ChemE, or Materials Science.
• 5+ years of experience with semiconductor or related processes/equipment.
• PVD or Thin Films equipment experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting for process/equipment interactions.
• Experience with SPC, DOE, and statistical hypothesis testing.
• Practical experience with FDC systems setup and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Own and support equipment to develop and execute advanced processes.
• Provide technical leadership in evaluating, troubleshooting, improving and maintaining equipment.
• Upgrade existing equipment and support tool conversions with qualification.
• Develop and implement preventative, predictive and high-precision maintenance procedures.
• Document procedures and train personnel.
• Collaborate across teams to meet goals and drive project outcomes.
• Implement monitoring methodologies to detect deviations before product impact.
