Position Specific Description

This position will be based in Roswell, New Mexico.

The PV Solar & Battery Technician II will support the operations and maintenance of NextEra Energy's photovoltaic (PV) solar and battery storage systems at Roswell Solar near Roswell, NM. As part of the Operations and Maintenance team, the technician will ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine preventive maintenance on solar panels, battery systems, and related equipment.
  2. Troubleshoot and perform corrective maintenance to resolve system issues, maximizing uptime and efficiency.
  3. Follow maintenance schedules and established procedures for inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and replacements.
  4. Use monitoring software to analyze system performance, identify deviations, and recommend improvements.
  5. Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and inventory.
  6. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  7. Comply with environmental regulations during maintenance and waste management.
  8. Document all Operations & Maintenance activities thoroughly.
  9. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about work progress and challenges.
Job Overview

The Site Technician supports the Regional Manager to ensure smooth execution of PGD processes, including safety, contractor management, equipment operation, troubleshooting, site operations, asset management, compliance, reliability engineering, and inventory management.
