Job summary

Strata Clean Energy is seeking a skilled PV Plant Technician to join our regional maintenance team. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshoot DC faults, and ensure safety and compliance across US solar facilities.

Responsibilities emphasize electrical theory knowledge, use of testing equipment, and documentation of inspections. Travel to remote project sites, on-call hours, and strong collaboration with peers are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years experience with energized AC or DC systems.
• Basic working knowledge of electrical theory & PV power fundamentals.
• Aptitude for learning testing equipment and procedures used in PV maintenance.
• Ability to collaborate with technicians, vendors, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Perform plant maintenance in the region as directed to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Safely work around energized parts in compliance with codes and policies.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose DC faults in PV plants.
• Document inspections and testing data for professional reporting to customers.
• Conduct acceptance inspections on newly assigned PV plants.
• Operate monitoring software and connect with equipment via PC/tablet.
• Pull data files and troubleshoot communications issues.
• Assist with replacement device provisioning and photo uploads.
